Hi Ken, We'd like to figure out what's causing this bug for you, but we haven't heard back from you in a while. Could you please provide the requested information? Thanks! Michael, if you could provide latencytop information too it would be useful. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New =

I have and had a similar problem. With 9.04 when freshly installed, I had this audio skipping problem. I can't remember what I did to fix it though. Now with 9.10 it's back again. Doesn't happen all the time, which is annoying as it's hard to reproduce. When it happened yesterday, it was after I

Those latencytop numbers seem very healthy to me, but I'm not an expert with latencytop. When you run latencytop, make sure the audio application is selected on the bottom half of the screen. Since your system as a whole seems fairly responsive, the top half of the screen (overall system) is

Latencytop may be able to help diagnose this issue ( http://www.latencytop.org/index.php ). This was added in intrepid, so sudo apt-get install latencytop should install it for you. -- Rhythmbox stutters with no system load at all https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/330398 You received this bug

Ok, I have more information. I don't think it's a problem specifically in the audio system, but I don't know where to recategorize it. Something is hijacking the system. I've noticed that when pulseaudio/rhythmbox stutters, my typing also lags for a split second. I think it's reasonable to

Actually, I was able to dock it. Docking the laptop doesn't cause the problem if it boots up undocked. If I boot up docked, pulseaudio stutters and my typing lags. I grepped /var/log/messages and I didn't see anything about IRQ failures (I thought maybe IRQ conflict)? -- Rhythmbox stutters with
