The notebook is a Gateway m675. Since I have upgraded to jaunty I
haven't been able to use hibernate. I am now using Alpha 5 with the
same problem. It didn't worn me of a problem before the computer shut
off. After booting up and logging in to gnome, I see the crash
notification. I have tried

Could you please let us know the type of machine this is (make and
model). Did you recently have a hibernate failure, this could have been
some time before the report was triggered and offered to you. If you
did, did the machine break while going to sleep, or while coming back
