Stale ~/.pulse/* entries causes inaudible sound after dist-upgrade from 8.10 to
9.04
I upgraded today from 8.10 to 9.04 and Pulseaudio stopped working.
There is only one sink, the RTP Multicast Sink, and no audio at all.
It is strange, because on the login screen I hear the drums sound, but no sound
after the desktop loaded.
I tried the previous method of deleting the ~/.pulse
Correction: after restart the default sink stays on alsa, but the master
volume is muted. After un-muting, it seems to work ok.
