This fix only partially worked for me. The huge delay is still there.
The #311732 patch fixes the delay as well. This appears to be a
duplicate of that problem.

I had the same results. I installed the intrepid version from here.

and it appears to work now. I am using a X61 tablet with 0483:2016 SGS Thomson
