I can, now, refer to you the exact Text when trying to install openoffice-base
without removing First all the openoffice distribution installed files.
Could not mark all packages for installation

Can you attach the output you get when you try to install openoffice
.org-base, and the output of apt-cache policy openoffice.org-base,
please?

since I have already removed all the OpenOffice files shown on the 'Synaptic
Package Manager' in order to be able to install, the OpenOffice-base First and
then the 'Spreadsheet and Word' later, I can tell you only by memory that the
messages were: Depends on XY packages. Not

- No Installation of OpenOffice Base is possible without deleting most of the
OpenOffice files already installed in the distribution. Any attempt, wythout
the removal of olready installed packages, results wiith dependencies problems
+ No Installation of OpenOffice Base
