Public bug reported: Somewhere in the last 3 uploads of newlib, it stopped providing the file crt1.o in the newlib-spu package on PPC.
This is now causing recursive build failure. The configure script is failing because when gcc-spu is tested it fails with the message ... /usr/bin/spu-ld: crt1.o: No such file: No such file or directory Adding the old newlib-spu package as a build-dep in 1.17.0-0ubuntu2 made the configure script work again, but because crt1.o didn't get built this workaround no longer works. Full config.log file attached. ** Affects: ubuntu-ps3-port Importance: High Assignee: Dan Munckton (munckfish) Status: Confirmed ** Affects: newlib (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- newlib-spu stopped providing crt1.o (cause of powerpc FTBFS) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352721 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
