Glad I found this bug
I think that the best course of action is to append gksudo to
/usr/bin/nvidia-settings in the Main Menu entry for the NVIDIA X
Server Settings.
Is there a way I can help resolve this at all? I imagine it wouldn't be
hard to fix.
