Hi,
xkeyboard-config dropped the workaround of a kernel bug fixed in
2.6.18.3. Looks like jaunty kernel is not uptodate for fixing this bug.
The bug is actually a kernel bug. See

Same here with Jaunty Beta, Apple Aluminium Keyboard, German Layout. In
KDE System Settings' keyboard layouts module there is no such option
either. Neither does apple:badmap have any effect.
