I can confirm the bug for Karmic-beta fully installed.
I have Gateway E-475M with native res of 1680x1050
I use the latest ati open-source driver with my
M71 [Mobility Radeon X2100] (Secondary) graphics card.
The highest res offered in the display preferences applet is
1280 x 800 (16:10). A
Just retested in Karmic beta, this bug still exists, and gives me the
same resolutions as the Display dialogue did in Jaunty:
1360 x 768
1152 x 864
1024 x 768
800 x 600
640 x 480
However, as noted above, the native resolution of my monitor is 1280 x

I added your PPA: deb
http://ppa.launchpad.net/bryceharrington/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main, and
did an apt-get update and upgrade, but the only packages offered for
upgrade were intel, mga, and openchrome. I also tried to install
directly from the .deb, but I had a dependancy error with xserver.
When
Again, please test this against karmic, not jaunty. I'll delete that
-ati jaunty package to eliminate any confusion.
