Public bug reported:
Under the specific conditions that the desktop has no running compiz-extension
(i.e. "visual effects" are turned off)
and further mplayer (got version 1.0rc2-4.3.3) is showing a video (either
fullscreen or windowed),
the newly introduced notification window (i.e. when changing audio volume,
brightness, network connection, battery mode ...) will crash the desktop
session returning to the graphical login screen.
