In short, use `xinput` to figure out the real name of your stylus
device, and xsetwacom should work correctly

My guess is that this problem has to do with the transition from using
X.org to manage the stylus to having HAL manage the stylus.

Hello all,
Try running the command using sudo - I ran into the same problem setting
up my TC4200 on Jaunty but by using sudo to run the xsetwacom button
commands, I can remap the buttons no problem.

Same here on X200 tablet.
Running "xinput list" returs several devices:
"PnP Device (WACf008)" id=3[XExtensionKeyboard]
"PnP Device (WACf008) touch"id=5[XExtensionKeyboard]
"PnP Device (WACf008) eraser" id=6[XExtensionKeyboard]
However that does not help with rotation or calibr
