Exactly the same here, it's reproducible by me. Using Jaunty with
Amarok 2.0.2 (which uses KDE 4.2.2). I've tried reinstalling everything
to do with amarok that I can find (including the various xine libs)
reinstalling amarok. I've not tried to reinstall KDE as that seems a
bit extreme. It does

Confirmed here on Jaunty/Ubuntu. 2.0.2 thinks it's playing but it's not.
I can feed it songs from my library or shoutcast and nothing plays
Steps to reproduce:
1) Start Amarok 2.0.2
2) Double click on a song or media stream
3) Watch as it does *nothing*
The play bar shows the play status as
