I've tried recreating this bug with Jaunty and was unable to, given the

Askpass is faulty. It changes the kernel.printk parameter, but it does
not revert to the previous value.

4 4 1 7
u...@jaunty$ sudo /lib/cryptsetup/askpass Test
Test password
u...@jaunty$ cat /proc/sys/kernel/printk
7 4 1
and the workaround is to save the kernel.printk parameter before calling
askpass and restore it after.
