Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I am encountering a strange problem: I've installed acroread (9) from mediabuntu and whenever I open a special pdf file [1] in firefox, the xserver hangs. I can still switch the console, but the X becomes garbage then. Though, killing acroread from a local text console results in the xorg clearing up and everything continous to work. Before killing acroread, it hangs in sem_wait@@GLIBC_2.1 . Xorg hangs in "WaitForSomething". The Xorg backtrace is attached.
