Works for me after installing
I can confirm this behavior. When trying to connect to a WPA/WPA2
network the system totally freezes with AR5008 PCI Wireless Card. On
jaunty release kernel.

This is present in the jaunty release kernel as well - I have to upgrade
to mainline to get working wireless.
