and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.
Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an
issue? Can this bug

When my system shuts down it gets stuck at just displaying the circular
icon and never shuts off. I have to manually push the power button to
turn off the laptop.
