Actually, I just realized that the fix introduces a new error (an endless loop)
and the fixing patch in hg is just after the one I sent yesterday (how could I
not see it!!).
I attach the second patch which corresponds to commit 285 of qutecom's hg

Unfortunately a version of Qutecom with this fix has not been released yet.
However I will apply the patch to the next Debian upload and on my PPA.
