I said nothing about it being fixed. I said the change in functionality appears to have been intentional. The default behaviour is still to not translate any of the IDs, which makes it so you can't actually do anything with the mounted filesystem unless you are, for some strange reason, using ssh

I eventually got around to digging through to the bottom of the documentation. It seems that the default behaviour was changed from automatically translating the server account's uid and gid into the local account's uid and gid to not translating anything. You now have to explicitly run it with a
