Ububtu 9.0.4 does not read my 2Gig SD card either.

I have a Gateway T-1615 with a SD/MMC reader(not 5 in 1) which worked
fine in 8.10 but doesn't work at all. No notifications of cards being
inserted. I have mmc_block.ko and sdio_uart.ko files, but do not have a
mmc_core.ko either.
