I actually had to reinstall the PC back to 8.04. Have not had the
courage to try a new upgrade yet.

package hwtest-gtk 0.7.2 failed to insta
Went from 8.04 to 8.10. Post-reboot, I'm not able to login to that box
(no response on the username entry field), so will have to try an
upgrade to 9.04.
