Public bug reported: Laptop : HP550 Version: 9.04 Kernel: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic
Issue: Laptop does not go into suspend or hibernate when selected from the shutdown menu. All that happens is the user is logged out and it sits at the login screen. When the user runs the "pm-suspend" or "pm-hibernate" commands in the command line nothing happens, no errors are reported. Their are entries in the log files: I've attached a tar.gz of the log excerpts (suspend_error_log_excerpts.tar.gz): file list: suspend_error_syslog_log.txt 590 bytes suspend_error_kern_log.txt 320 bytes suspend_error_debug_log.txt 240 bytes suspend_error_auth_log.txt 2.0 kb If more information required let me know. **Not sure which package to list this under!** ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: hibernate jaunty suspend -- Laptop does not go into Suspend or Hibernate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371411 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
