Rubbish. How on earth can a software vendor fix that? If you want it
fixed, go and talk to your hardware vendor and ask them to case your
hard disk in a big block of iron. That's the only way to fix it.

How on earth can an operating system protect your hard disk from
magnetic fields? The only thing that can protect the disk surface from a
low-frequency magnetic field is a very thick layer of high-permeability
material (such as iron).
