Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: motion

Using ArtistX 0.7, based on Ubuntu 8.10.

Suring download to upgrade to 9.4 one message said that "...motion..."
failed to update.

While processing the downloaded files, another error message about
motion.

At the end of the upgrade process, a message said the system could be
definitely unusable.

I logged out. Then the system started what seemed to be an automated
recovery process.

Could log in again, but only in safe graphical mode. Then I moved on to
allow the restricted Nvidia 180. driver. Done without problems.

Went to synaptic and reloaded. Two files were shown under "updates".
They were java related, but cannot remember their names.

As I didn't take notes, I'm sorry but cannot provide any more precise
details.

best regards
