Public bug reported: When installing mutt in Jaunty (and also mutt-patched for that matter), it reports that the following extra packages will be installed:
bsd-mailx exim4 exim4-base exim4-config exim4-daemon-light mailx I don't believe this is correct. It should install a mail program but it doesn't have to be exim. For example, I try and keep my mail needs to a minimum and so I simply use msmtp. I think the mailer used on the system should be determined via the alternatives system. In which case this bug maybe in fact that exim and/or msmtp do not hook into that correctly, if at all. Mutt version: 1.5.18-6ubuntu1 Ubuntu version: 9.04 ** Affects: mutt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Mutt includes exim when any mailer would suffice https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/386308 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
