Ever since I installed Karmic 64bit, I did not have any crash or freeze
whatsoever. This bug is no longer an issue for me.

Hi bofphile,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

Same problem for me on Thinkpad T400 with 2.6.28.13 kernel 64bit, with
pretty much identical log files. Actually, the 2.6.28.13 kernel is much
more stable for me (maybe 1 freeze per few days) vs the 2.6.28.14 and
2.6.28.15 kernels (every few hours it seems). Maybe you guys could try
installing 13
I installed kernel 2.6.30 and the problem was gone for me. No freezes
anymore and I am running 64bit.

freeze. So maybe the problem lies with Jaunty 64bit ?

I just had a freeze with kernel 2.6.30 , while doing the usual thing
(browsing the web while listening to some music). I'm connected to my
router by WiFi. Maybe I should try Jaunty 32 bit to see if this also
happens.

[Jaunty] System freezes randomly on Thinkpad T500
I see exactly the same behavior on my new Lenovo Thinkpad T500, running:
Linux linpicard 2.6.28-13-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 2 07:55:09 UTC 2009
x86_64 GNU/Linux

And for the freeze with caps lock blinking, the error seems different in
