Ubuntu 9.10 desktop i386 LiveCD It takes about 4 seconds for the Help window to appear, the additional 13 seconds during which the CPU is 100% loaded, for th actual help text to appear. (this is with the screenshot help, as in the original report) The process using the cpu is gnome-help --

I tried on another PC (same SW versions). There the screenshot help window appears 1 second after clicking the Help button, but is empty, the only after 7 seconds the contents appear. During that time one CPU core is 100% busy with process gnome-help. This is an Intel Core2 Duo T7200, two core

I just tried a fresh install in VMWare. After clicking help in gnome-screenshot, it takes 4 seconds for the help window to appear and then 8 seconds more for the content to appear. It is a fresh install with defult settings. This happened on a fresh boot, right after login. No other programs
