The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it

I don´t know if it´s the same bug, but every application that makes use
of the gtk file dialog stops responding and uses 100% cpu after opening
the dialog and selecting a folder to open.
Sometimes the application comes back again after a minute or so, but
most of the time it just stays

could you install libgtk2.0-0-dbg and get a stacktrace? the url you
listed is not a bug but an upstream change

This happens to any program that uses the GTK File Dialogues. Here
again, a backtrace of transmission with libgtk2.0-0-dbg. Can do other
