The Open With feature, SHOULD have an Always use the selected program
to open this kind of file check-box (see attachment).
Compare this attachment, with the one I post next (the dialog from
nautilus, after clicking Open With).

Is the status of this bug wrong (Fix Released)?
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 beta 2, and this is still an issue. Shouldn't
someone change it to confirmed?

Confirming that the option to Always use... is now present in Lucid
If it does not work , it is Bug #550004

Remember this application for $FILETYPE files in GNOME 2.29.92 (Ubuntu
10.04 Beta), however this feature is on by default and fails to function
properly (see Bug #550004).
