Thanks for taking the time to report this; however, apparmor is not currently enabled by default in the karmic kernel, the kernel commandline doesn't contain the "security=apparmor" option that would enable it, and is reported as disabled by the "AppArmor: AppArmor disabled by boot time parameter"
