Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Lucid Lynx. It would help us greatly if you could
test with it so we can work
After a crash I ran compiz in console. But as soon as I opened an
image in Gimp, it crashed.
~$ compiz
[1] 4311
~$ Checking for Xgl: not present.
xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
Detected PCI ID for VGA:
Checking for texture_from_pixmap:
I can't open the command compiz neither with gdb nor with valgrind,
any help on this is very appreciated, too :-)

Gimp crashes the window manager (or X?) when closing a Gimp window.
This happens frequently, I was hoping upgrading from Jaunty to Karmic
would fix it, but apparently not. I am using the xmonad WM, but from
these other reports, this doesn't seem to be crucial.
In dmesg, I find:
