Yeah you misunderstood it:
-R, --recursive
Recursively handle all regular files matching pattern *.deb found
at specified directories and all of its subdirectories. This can
be used with -i, -A, --install, --unpack and --avail actions.

Maybe OT: Did I miss understood the option from dpkg '-R' resp. '--
recursive' ? I thought dpkg looks into the current directory to
load/install it (liblircclient0) automatically. Or can this be used only
for different package (names) and not for versions?
