Could you reproduce it with the last version of pcmanfm (0.9) ?
You can test it if you are running (L)Ubuntu 10.10 or Lubuntu 10.04.

Actual pcmanfm is not design to work perfectly with gvfs. Maybe it's the cause
of your problem.
But next major release of pcmanfm should deal better with gvfs (see
http://blog.lxde.org/?p=445 for some details).

edit: today, the copy task stopped when the prgogress bar wasn't at 100%
and pcmanfm and an error message appeared saying in french opération
non supportée.
Please help me, i would be very happy to be able to use gvfs with
pcmanfm.
