I confirm this, and I would also like to add that my monitor display a weird orange pattern when resuming from hibernation. When I first saw this, I was very scared and thought the system had colapsed :) Also, I would like to mention this :

I run Ubuntu on my laptop and I almost always hibernate, simply because the system boots so much faster that way. As for the UI noise, it's not critical in terms of system stability, but it's one of the first things you get to see when resuming the system; probably not the best first impression...
