I get the same message with my "Caplio G4 wide" under Edgy, although it was
working in Dapper. In german the message says: "Ein Fehler trat in der
IO-Bibliothek auf (»Unspezifizierter Fehler«): Konnte den Kerneltreiber des
Gerätes nicht abfragen".
By running the command
"gnome-volume-manager-gt
s6dalane ==> to answer your question, this bug will get confirmed most
probably only if someone else experience the same problem, Obviously
this type of bug, for a specific type of camera, rather limit the
number of tester who could confirm it.
