I can not reproduce this. I have also checked the code, and the changelog URL is being opened with : xdg-open, exo-open, gnome-open, x -www-browser in this order, so if the first doesn't exist, it falls back to the second, and so on. Can anyone reconfirm that the changelogs are not opened with the

It would probably be a good idea if it supported the same mechanism of choosing a preferred web-browser that is used by xdg-open -- this will allow update-manager to honor user settings independent of the desktop- environment used. -- Default browser does not seem to affect some apps
