I hadn't been able to check up on this bug report for some days, but now checked it again, and it seems this issue was already fixed. Print dialogs work fine, gedit doesnt display this odd behavior, and I have't seen it anywhere else. ** Changed in: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu) Status:

I was just trying to get a screenshot of this behaviour on gedit, but the default gnome take screenshot action makes the text be rendered correctly. Also, losing focus seems to fix the rendering with gedit, but this does not work with the printers list problem. -- Karmic, elements of gtk based
