Public bug reported: This isn't really a bug. More like a suggestion from a regular, longtime Ubuntu user. I think a dock, like Avant Window Navigator, should be the default theme for Ubuntu. Sure, there could be those who don't have the resources for it. I had an idea. During installation, the installer can check to see if the computer has enough computer resources for a dock. If not, it will recommend to use panels.
I had many friends say no to Ubuntu just because they disliked the default theme, and disliked how they have to go look around for a theme to find one. The population of mac users would be extremely low if they used panels just because a user can change to a dock later. Let's get some more users. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Make the default theme for Ubuntu with a dock https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/416033 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
