I had this same problem but with my NFS based /home. This problem
appeared today after I upgraded some packages. Now I mount /home
manually and everything works fine except that mounting home manually
sucks donkey balls.

This also seems to affect a /home on a regular old LVM volume (no
encryption, nothing special). During the boot sequence, udev, complains
about some bits of its files which it doesn't understand. %k warnings
and SYMLINK errors. I'll see if I can get a photo of the boot screen
if that'll help.

Bardur, if you are having problems with LVM that is a different bug to
this (which only affects LUKS). Please file a new bug.
