Hi!
I have this notebook and I confirm this bug.
I can't do a suspend-to-ram because of that.
Note : sometimes, suspend-to-disks seems also fails, in particulary
after a very long time. Last month, I had an uptime of 29 days and I no
longer do a suspend-to-disk.
Please fix it.

I'm able to reproduce the problem with Ubuntu 9.10 on MSI GX700X using
both 'sudo pm-suspend' and closing the lid when suspend isconfigured as
default action for lid closure in System/Preferences/power management.
