I got this on installing another version.. openoffice.org-filter-binfilter
1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1
I clicked forward on the install dialog-window asking me to close all
open-office apps.
I closed them, but I missed one on another desktop - the installer tried to
proceed then caused the crash.

When i do 'apt-get upgrade', i have this message :

I think this was fixed in the new version in karmic 1:3.1.1-2ubuntu1,
can you see if it works for you now?
