I have the same problem here using Kubuntu 9.04.

I can confirm this bug in karmic.
The calendar needs to be consistent in its counting of the weeks. At the
beginning of 2009 the week with the 1st in was counted as week number one,
where as in 2010 the first complete week is counted as week 1. The actual rule
implemented seems to be to count
