significant improvement in stability of the connection. Anyway: I found out
that it make no difference if I insert an usleep() in the wpa.c code. I

Hi, same problem for me!
All ok in Alpha 4, but now I can't connect to my AP.
On the other hand:
- I always had this problem in the past: with the 8.10 and the 9.04 both.
- The work-around of mateakos doesn't work on my machine.
It's frustrating to plug the eth cable to get on-line!

Now i can connect if i run the following command in a root shell after i type
in the wpa password:
renice +19 $(pidof wpa_supplicant)
