This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .
If it remains
Just tried to add mem=4G iommu=off" to kernel boot parameters.
Open /etc/default/grub and change the line :
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
by
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash mem=4G iommu=off"
And then in a terminal, type :
sudo update-grub
There should be no kernel panic anym
Err, forgot to mention, using a Toshiba Satellite L510-016 laptop, and
it has the RTL8191SE chipset. Wubi install was just a plain Ubuntu
9.10.

I've been getting kernel panics off and on myself when using this
wireless driver. Unfortunately, I have hit a fatal kernel panic in a
Wubi installation and I'm not able to retrieve my logs at this time...if
I'm able to recover the log files, I'll toss them to you guys.
