I had the same problems as b355_etude. I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10.
After install I ran the update tool and was offered a choice to change
the grub configuration to the developer's version or keep the current.
I chose to view the differences. From the differences window I hit
cancel thinking
This was on a new Lenovo G550 Notebook

Just applying regular updates in netbook remix on my acer aspire
one...not sure what will happen if I try to reboot.

En mettant à jour mon système il m'a été proposé de mettre à jour grub avec
cette version. J'ai d'abord fais plusierus aller-retour entre les menus pour
comparer les deux versions. Puis lorsque j'ai quitté, un message m'a signalé
que l'installation avait échoué.
