being fixed with a setup change. For future reference you can manage the
status of your own bugs by clicking on the current status in the yellow

This workaround is not a setup change. It is a preferences change. The
default page is the chrome search and does not invoke fips. FIPS itself
is not a default setting. You are correct that the bug should be closed
or turned into a FAQ.

After continued use I can see why it would not
it requires https or some sort of login to invoke
the process.
This bug has an easy workaround
change the home page to an https page

I notice that the link points to usr/lib/nss but no link in firefox-3.5.3
but links are for thunderbird and xulrunner 1.9.1.3
does the module link not automatically create
