I have the same problem, but on Lucid Lynx. It was working well under
8.04, but since I installed 10.04, it no longer works. Can't assign the
network key (F2) either...

I can second this. However, no other current distro that I've tried
supports this either anymore (Mandriva 2010.0, Fedora 12).
