This doesn't seem to be a problem with the Ubuntu One client. If you
think this is a bug in Ubuntu, please assign the bug to that project
(I'm not doing it myself because of your last comment).

cannot connect to broadmand
After establishing a connection from Opera Mini on my phone, (Nokia E65)
the problem cleared. This is possibly either be a cable problem or it
could be a failure to initialise the modem correctly?
