Same problem with my T41 and 9.04. During suspend screen goes blank
with cursor at upper left of scren. No keyboard response or anything.

I can confirm this bug still exists on IBM T21. Though its older
hardware ubuntu runs fine, but suspend is impossible. Exactly same issue
as mentioned on bug open. I tested with 8.10 and 9.04 beta. If you need
further information, please let me know.
