I don't have gnome-integration installed cos I use KDE but I'll give it a try.
I must say that the problem persists with KDE 4.4 on Lucid! :-(

I cannot export to directories that start with a '#' , does this also

Can you reproduce this problem? It doesn't happen for me on Gnome but it
might have since been fixed, otherwise its somehow KDE integration
specific.

I can confirm that trying to create the PDF file in a directory called
#1 (for example) does not work. I tried it in writer. It says that the
command was started with an invalid parameter (or something similar, I
get the error message in Dutch).
I have marked the bug as confirmed.

Update:
Ok, after some experiments it appears that OO can export a file to pdf but NOT
when a # character is on the path. I have confirmed this by saving to many
different folders and locations. I guess it functions as an escape char of some
sort.
Can anyone else confirm this?

I'm using Writer to convert a few papers to pds. Unlike Impress, Writer does
not return an error when exporting (thus this is not a replication of the
Writer error reported above) but I was unable to find the exported file. Guess
what, Writer saves it in the first directory higher
