It happened due to a manual installation i did before. Doing a # cp -f /usr/lib/libnm-util.so.1* /usr/local/lib/ for example, resolves the issue (in my case). To see where is the conflit do: # ldd /usr/bin/nm-applet|grep /usr/local Cheers ** Changed in: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu)
